This is an unattached deck on a mobile home. It will need supported by posts on all 4 corners. I had to position it so the steps will rest on the back walk that was poured ahead of time.
First i buit the frame and doubled up to make a beam on two opposite sides. The side under the door and its adjacent side. Then I marked for joists every 16″. installed those and joist hangers before pouring the concrete in the post holes and Leveling/check for square. Then i built the steps and layed the decking, screwing it all down.
With the wood part done i moved on to installing the composite railing. Oddly the railing cost 3 times what the deck materials cost, but its required here. Anyway, follow installation directions to finish. I set the posts first, making them level, using shims under approoriate sudes of the post when tightening screws. Then cut railings to length so the spindle gaps on the opposite ends are the same. Attach hardware.
I have skirting to install around the base of the deck and its done. Skirting is not all done the same. This style, i copied how it was done on the home.
